Electric vehicles (EVs) and charging infrastructure are poised to transform the parking, transportation, and mobility industry. The launch of the NEVI program, along with complementary federal, state, and local funding, policies, and programs, represents a generational opportunity for the parking and mobility industry to play a pivotal role to plan, deploy, and maintain required charging infrastructure to advance the adoption of EVs and electrification across the nation.
IPMI released the survey to capture critical benchmarks and data on the state of the industry’s readiness to prepare for electric vehicles and charging needs to support national initiatives. Open to all industry professionals, this critical survey will close April 28.
Developed by the IPMI Board of Directors, its new EV Readiness Cohort along with the support of hundreds of IPMI expert volunteers, the 2023 IPMI Electric Vehicle Readiness Survey will capture insights and benchmarks on the current state of EV readiness, Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), and EV fleet deployment industry-wide, as well as anticipated demand and related impacts to the industry.
Critical findings and data from this research will be presented at the 2023 IPMI Parking & Mobility Conference & Expo in Fort Worth, Texas, June 11-14, 2023. Offering a multitude of education sessions, shoptalks, and industry experts and suppliers on the expo floor, the event offers a unique and specialized opportunity to gain essential knowledge, research, and industry connections on EVs, EVSE, alternative fuel fleets, and the infrastructure required to support electrification.
Gary A. Means, CAPP, Chair, IPMI Board of Directors and Executive Director for the Lexington & Fayette County Parking Authority, shared his perspective on the role of IPMI and its members in advancing electrification nationwide: "IPMI initiated the EV Readiness Survey to collect critical data to help our members assess their readiness to deploy charging capacity for patrons and the greater communities that we serve. We are dedicated to driving the industry forward to create greater mobility choices, including support for electric vehicles. Results will be used to develop research and resources that help professionals prepare for anticipated demand, as well as enhanced services for fleets. We encourage you to respond and share the survey with your networks so we can maximize our impact to support electrification and greater sustainability programs and policies."
Supported by IPMI’s 2023 Exclusive EV Readiness Survey Sponsor, FLASH, IPMI will seek industry feedback through our partnerships and platforms, including the Electric Vehicle Charging Summit leaders and participants, Global Parking Association Leaders, 19 affiliated State and Regional parking and mobility associations, and numerous industry partners.
